Advice for those who want to keep their jobs.

Your first day on a job is suppose to be a learning experience. You are suppose to get use to how things work, how the people work together and just get a feel for the job. My first time working at a Subway that was located next to the local college taught me those and more then one should ever discover.

I showed up to work at a bit before 11 am. I was standing in the back waiting for 11 to get there so I could clock in, when the people who had closed the night before showed up. The owner had them walk over to near where I was and turned on the TV in the back which had all the camera feeds. What we saw was a very terrible quality video of them "shaking their groove thing" on the prep table after they finished closing the night before.

Apparently the owner had walked in that morning and found a puddle on the prep table that had a funny smell. So he reviewed the tape and caught them in the act. They were promptly fired after that, but it gets better. Two weeks later we receive a phone call the girl in this situation used the store as a reference and they called to ask if we would rehire her. Now had it been the owner who answered the phone or we had a manager. They would have been required to say yes or no. The rest of the staff was not so kind. On top of laughing constantly, they told the recruiter what had happened.

The moral of this story. If you do something wrong in life. Don't leave a mess or do it in front of the camera.

Till next time
Will

P.S. Got some crazy stories to share. Leave a comment I would love to hear them.
